Story
Hi, it’s Harvey! I’m snuggled in bed, but my tummy is thinking about lunch. That’s funny, isn’t it? I guess it’s remembering how good my lunch tasted today! Mom packed me a colorful lunchbox: crunchy carrots, apple slices, a sandwich, and a little yogurt. My favorite part was the carrot sticks—they made a great crunch! At the table, my friend Max traded a blueberry for one of my carrots. We both laughed when our snacks made the same sound. It was fun to share. When I eat good food, I feel strong, fast, and ready for adventure. The doctor says healthy food helps my body grow and keeps my mind sharp for learning new tricks—like counting or reading new words. As I close my eyes tonight, I’m thinking about how thankful I am for the food that helps me play, learn, and dream. I whisper, “Thank you, farmers. Thank you, sunshine. Thank you, kitchen.” Tomorrow, I’ll try something new and healthy—maybe green beans! Good night, little eaters. Sleep well and grow strong.
